"Painting fantasy images for collectible gaming cards is both fun and challenging. I have had the opportunity to delve into an array of interesting assignments. I've produced illustrations for the AEG card sets: Legend of the Five Rings, Warlord, Seventh Sea, and Doomtown. L5R and Warlord are by far my favorite games that I have worked on.

This work has entailed drawing and painting realms filled with unique, fantastical beings. I feel that many of the characters represented in the games are archetypes of the ideal; the dark, the mischievous and other symbols contained in our psyches. I particularly love working on ancestral spirits for the L5R set -- they simply flow from my brush as if their essences take possession of my hand. It's a great feeling!"
